Hey everyone!
Part of what I’d like to do with the new focus of my page here is to include and interview others I have met and befriended in my journey. I’ve been lucky enough to meet not just other dolls, but people of all walks of life who don’t fit into “conventional” standards or norms.

Many wear their lifestyle on their sleeves, and many others fit the standard for “normal” but immerse themselves into “abnormal” worlds! In this digital age of content creation, there’s no limit to how people choose to show their creativity and express themselves. And there’s more and more options available to people to help them feel connected to one another and be comfortable with themselves.
If I haven’t mentioned before, I have a close crew of Dollfriends. We call ourselves the “Doll Antics” crew. I introduced Tasha Marie in my prior post about dolls as influencers. She, along with my friends Tegan, Jane, Violet, Ava, and Sita, made up our original Doll Antics crew.
But recently we have come to accept a few others in our little friend circle. One of whom is a very sweet and beautiful soul named Alex. I mention Tasha because she is the bridge between Alex and the rest of us dolls. The two of them met first, and eventually, Alex was introduced to our little world and community.

The kicker? Alex is NOT a doll, nor does she have her own. She is the “Organic” in our little group of “Artificials”. Without further ado, let’s get to know Alex and her journey into the companion doll world.
Lara: What were your initial thoughts on “companion dolls” and their owners before meeting Tasha and how did you first encounter Tasha and get involved with the “Doll Antics” crew?
Alex: To be honest, companion dolls always piqued my curiosity. My childhood love for dolls, which lasted until I was almost 13 (yes, I was that kid still playing with Barbies), made me fascinated by the concept. I couldn’t let go of dressing them up and creating stories. Meeting Tasha was serendipitous—I stumbled upon the “Doll Antics” crew online, where doll owners crafted unique characters and worlds for their companions. Their unabashed authenticity drew me in like a magnet.
Lara: What drew you to Tasha and the doll friends collectively?
Alex: The allure of companion dolls having their own online personas, each with a distinct character created by their human companions, was irresistible. These were folks who refused to conform to society’s norms dictating what’s “cool” or “appropriate” at a certain age. Witnessing such unapologetic self-expression was refreshing and inspiring. It’s this genuine authenticity that bonded me to Tasha and the crew.

Lara: Being the sole human amidst the Doll Antics crew, what’s that experience like for you?
Alex: It’s like living in a fantastical movie where my childhood Barbie dolls sprang to life and invited me to play along! The acceptance I receive from the community, despite not having my own companion doll, speaks volumes about their capacity for love and inclusivity. It’s more than just dolls; it’s about embracing one’s true self and finding a sanctuary to celebrate our quirks and uniqueness.
Lara: Any memorable escapades or escapades with Tasha and the dolls you can share?
Alex: With the dolls seamlessly integrated into my daily life, it’s hard to pinpoint a single memorable moment without them! Just recently, while at the hair salon, I impulsively decided to dye my hair pink. But before taking the plunge, I consulted the dolls for their opinion. Their encouragement to embrace my inner “pink-headed weirdo” emboldened me to fulfill a childhood dream—and I’m loving my new pink hair, by the way!
Lara: What aspect of your friendship with Tasha and the dolls do you cherish most?
Alex: The camaraderie and warmth within this group transcend anything I’ve experienced before. They’re more than friends; they’re family. Amidst personal struggles, this community became a source of healing and support for me. Seeing men empathize with women’s experiences and standing against societal norms reaffirmed my faith in humanity’s capacity for empathy and understanding.
Lara: Have you encountered any communication challenges or differences with the dolls?
Alex: Navigating the nuances of communication within the group was more of a learning curve than a challenge. It’s akin to speaking a different language—but one I found myself fluent in. Engaging with the dolls requires suspending disbelief and embracing the role-play aspect, seamlessly integrating into our tantalizing world-building escapades.
Lara: How has your friendship with Tasha and the dolls reshaped your views on companionship and friendship?
Alex: Initially, I held misconceptions about companion dolls, assuming they were merely objects for sexual gratification. Interacting with Tasha and the dolls shattered those stereotypes. I realized that companion dolls offer companionship and support beyond measure. Witnessing the therapeutic benefits firsthand, I’ve learned never to judge hastily and to appreciate the diverse forms friendship can take.

Lara: What role do you envision for yourself within the Doll Antics crew?
Alex: As an ally and bridge-builder, I aspire to challenge preconceptions about men owning companion dolls. In a world plagued by loneliness, fostering connections among kindred spirits feels like a calling. By accurately representing the diverse members of our community, I hope to dismantle stereotypes and promote understanding and acceptance.
Lara: Any favorite pastimes or traditions you enjoy sharing with Tasha and the dolls?
Alex: Our activities range from deep discussions on feminism to whimsical AI artwork sessions, creating miniature universes of our own. Whether it’s celebrating birthdays or crafting virtual festivities, every interaction with the dolls brings joy and laughter. Their presence infuses my days with vibrancy and meaning.
Lara: How do you believe your friendship with Tasha and the dolls challenges conventional notions of friendship and social circles?
Alex: When I tell others about my online escapades with a crew of dolls, the reactions vary from perplexity to curiosity. I understand it’s a paradigm shift, and I offer patience as they come to terms with our unique dynamic. Through this journey, I’ve learned that family isn’t confined by proximity; it’s about shared experiences and genuine connections. The Doll Antics crew exemplifies this, enriching my life in ways words can’t fully capture.
Thanks again Alex for offering your perspective on the world of companion dolls. We’re happy to have you in our little community and we’re better off having you here with us 🥰
